How is the PTA fundraising money used and why?
Through its fundraising last year the PTA was able to contribute 16k towards our school’s Mathematics programme, through professional development for our teachers. This year the PTA’s fundraising focus will be centred around play, a vital ingredient in our children’s learning and enjoyment of school. There is a growing body of evidence to suggest that learning through play brings numerous benefits to students’ learning and development. These benefits include the development of interpersonal skills, student engagement, thinking skills and smooth transitions to school. The PTA is aiming to fund projects such as a new pump track, a Gaga pit and enhancements to the junior playground.
Also on the wish list are the following items which we would love to have at school to support our tamariki;
A Screen Enclosure for around the Basecamp classroom, EPro8 Construction Equipment Starter Kit & another MAGIC BOX Kit.
